TRU/CPU Monitoring & Control

 TRULink continually monitors the output of your Impressed Current CP Unit (CPU) as well as its supply (for off grid systems), but TRULink is much more than a remote monitoring device.

TRULink manages precision current Interruption to enable Instant-Off surveys, Depolarisation surveys and insulation joint testing.

TRULink also implements our  Infrequent Interrupt Routine (IIR) which interrupts the CP current for 1 second each hour, day or week, enabling regular monitoring of Instant-Off potentials.

TRULink can enable automatic rectification of many CP problems. Combined with CI-Tx test point monitors, TRULink enables intelligent CP control to optimise protection across your entire asset. Using GPS time synchronisation, surveys of all types are a breeze. Our proprietary Infrequent Interrupt Routine even enables daily monitoring of Instant-Off potentials.

Our External Interface Module (EIM) enables easy integration of the TRULink into any TRU panel. The EIM comes in 2 variations:

  • 4-20mA current loop monitoring version, and
  • direct variable monitoring version.

TRULink

TRULink will enable remote monitoring, control and Interruption of any TRU. 

Available with either LoRaWAN or Myriota Satellite communication, it is ideal for both metro and remote installations. 

TRULink can be configured from CI-Tx Central or the CI-Tx Configurator app on android or iOS devices

 

 

TRULink Interface Module

The TRULink Interface Module is available in two variations:

TIM-I – with 4 x 4-20mA input channels this is ideal for tying in to TRUs with existing transduces set up for telemetry purposes

TIM-V – Direct sensing inputs, this version has 4 voltage sensing channels which can be custom designed. typically these channels are used for monitoring:

 

  • TRU Output Voltage
  • TRU Output Current (using a current shunt)
  • TRU Reference voltage
  • Supply voltage (for Off-Grid systems)
We have a standard build for TIM-V and minor changes to the standard input ranges can usually be accommodated for a nominal charge. Please ensure you specify your desired input ranges at the time of ordering.

TIM-V also includes and OLED display for quick on-site reference of the measured variables
